Private by construction.

Announce Check has no accounts, analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, or hosted test service. The CLI operates on your computer and does not send transcripts, form values, reports, or target URLs to us.

Local files

The CLI reads your local configuration and expected transcript, then writes a local HTML report unless you pass --no-report. When you use --update, it writes the observed accessibility events to the expected transcript. Filled form values are redacted from observed event text and errors.

Website storage

The documentation site registers a service worker that caches its public pages and assets on your device for offline reading. It stores no personal information. You can remove this cache with your browser’s site-data controls.

Your target application

Your chosen website may have its own privacy practices. Announce Check allows loopback targets by default and requires an explicit authorization flag for remote targets. Only test systems you own or have permission to test.
